Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA-EX pumps
The DNA-EX wastewater pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA-EX wastewater pump is the best alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged, exposing the user to operating difficulties. The large free passage under the impeller for solids measuring from 45 to 80 mm (depending on the model) ensures long-lasting operation without the need for intervention. Open six-vane Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, act like wedges, and block the pump. Wastewater pumps with such a large free passage under the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The thick impeller walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring holes according to DN50-80 PN10.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of higher power.
Control
The DNA-EX wastewater pump is available in two power supply versions: single-phase and three-phase. Floats are available as separate accessories connected to the dedicated EMX-EX barrier (a relay in the control cabinet). To control the operation of DNA-EX pumps (excluding versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 controllers (230 V); suitable control cabinets ensuring compliance with ATEX requirements can also be used.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA-EX pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, and network wastewater pumping stations, as well as in stormwater systems. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable drainage pumps for working with liquids containing large amounts of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The DNA-EX wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA-EX pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground and providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, DNA pumps also come standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
