Results
Density of the medium in t1, ρ(vol1) kg/m³
Density of the medium in tz, ρ(volz) kg/m³
The increase in the specific volume of the medium from t1 to tz, Δυ dm³/kg
Hydrostatic pressure at the level of the vessel nozzle (at 10°C), pst bar
Initial pressure in the gas space of the vessel, p bar
Maximum design pressure in the vessel, pmax bar
Minimum useful capacity of the vessel, Vu dm³
Minimum total capacity of the vessel, Vn dm³
Minimum diameter of the expansion pipe *, d mm
Usable capacity of the vessel with operational reserve, VuR dm³
Initial operating pressure of the installation with operational reserve, pR bar
Total capacity of the vessel with operational reserve, VnR dm³

* The standard minimum value was assumed (20 mm); the exact diameter requires knowledge of the thermal power of the heat source.

The calculations were made according to the methodology for selecting diaphragm expansion vessels (PN-B-02414) with a simplified liquid density model; values for glycol mixtures are indicative. For mission-critical installations, the result should be verify industry designer.
