Sewage pumping stations
DAMBAT offers domestic sewage and stormwater pumping stations with a wide range of applications. Domestic wastewater, leachate, dirty water, rainwater, etc. The target customers are individual users, small communities, and companies. We manufacture domestic pumping stations in two versions. PDM, with one or two pumps lowered along guide rails and suspended on a coupling foot. PDA, with free-standing pumps on the bottom and rigidly connected pipelines. At customers’ request, we can manufacture special versions according to individual arrangements.
What distinguishes DAMBAT domestic pumping stations:
- High-density polyethylene PEHD tanks with internal diameters of Ø800mm and Ø1000mm and heights from H=2–3m.
- DN50/PE63 discharge risers made of materials resistant to the aggressive sewage environment,
- Each pump has an individual ball check valve for sewage (not a mushroom valve, flap valve, or any other type…but a ball check valve, the best choice for sewage containing fecal matter and solids),
- A shut-off valve is installed on each discharge riser (a full-bore ball valve), allowing the pump to be removed for servicing or the check valve to be serviced,
- As standard, the PDM version is equipped with a Storz coupling with a 2″ fire hose adapter and a shut-off valve for emergency connection of a DN50 fire hose and, for example, high-pressure flushing of the discharge pipeline,
- A wide range of pumps for various applications:
- with a free passage under the impeller of 30–50mm, e.g. IBO VOX 50, DRENO Compatta, DRENO Alpha V,
- with a radial shredding system: Kraken 1800 DF, IBO WES, DRENO GRIX,
- with an axial shredder: DRENO GX and DRENO G2,
- with cutting impellers: IBO ZWE, IBO ZWQ, etc.
- with a disc shredder, such as KRAKEN 1800,
- with single-channel impellers: WQ Professional
- for dirty water and pretreated sewage: DRENO BIC, DRENO AM-AT, DRENO APX, WQ PRO, SWQ PRO,
- or high-pressure pumps, e.g. UP60/80,
- Control systems ranging from the simplest, using a float switch built into the pump, to advanced systems controlling the alternating operation of two pumps and indicating failures. The systems are available for both single-phase 230V and three-phase 400V power supplies.
- Our domestic pumping stations arrive at the customer’s site complete, assembled, and ready for operation. Simply lower the pump into place (and bolt it on) and connect the power supply.
Differences between the PDM and PDA versions of sewage pumping stations:
PDM-type pumping station

This professional domestic pumping station solution is based on municipal network pumping stations. The pump, with a bolted-on guide hook, is lowered along two stainless-steel tubular guide rails to the bottom of the pumping station, where it engages with the coupling foot under its own weight. There is no need to enter the tank to lower or install the pump. Precisely manufactured castings and machined surfaces of the foot and hook fit together perfectly, ensuring tightness and a proper connection. In our PDM pumping stations, we use exclusively systems with two guide rails, ensuring that the pump does not rotate while being lowered. The pump always lands perfectly on the coupling foot, even when the pumping station tank is completely filled with sewage. Imagine removing the pump for cleaning or servicing, and a large amount of sewage flowing in during that time, so you cannot see where to position the pump. With two guide rails, this is not a problem, because the pump will settle correctly on the coupling foot anyway.
In a PDM domestic pumping station, the ball check valve always remains inside the station, so sewage from the discharge pipeline never flows back into the tank. A Storz coupling for flushing the pipeline is always installed on the discharge riser. Small-diameter pipelines with low flow can sometimes become overgrown with deposits and clogged by sand, rags, wipes, or other solids carried along with the sewage. In that case, simply connect a hose from a sewage tanker or hydrant to the fire hose adapter and open the shut-off valve in the pumping station. The high pressure and flow can quickly unclog the pipeline and restore its functionality.
Currently, the most popular versions of PDM domestic pumping stations are: PDM8-22-1, PDM8-25-1, and PDM10-25-2, where 8 and 10 indicate the tank’s internal diameter, Ø800 and Ø1000mm; 22 and 25 indicate tank heights of 2.2 and 2.5m; and numbers 1 and 2 indicate the number of installed pumps.
PDA-type pumping station

A domestic pumping station version with a simple and durable design, enabling the quick removal of the pump together with the ball check valve. In the PDA pumping station, the shut-off valve is located at the top of the tank to make it easy to stop sewage from flowing back from the discharge pipeline. Thanks to the quick coupling, the entire discharge riser, including the pump and ball check valve, can be removed. There is no need to enter the pumping station to unscrew the pump or clean the ball check valve. The rigid pipeline allows the use of high-pressure sewage pumps with a head of up to 40–80m, because there is no risk of the pump lifting off the coupling foot, as may occur in PDM pumping stations. All discharge pipeline components are made of materials resistant to the aggressive sewage environment (PE pipelines, PE elbow fittings, and a 304 stainless-steel shut-off valve).
Typical dimensions of PDA pumping station tanks are: internal diameter Ø800 with heights H = 2.2m, H = 2.5m, and H = 2.7m; for tanks with an internal diameter of Ø1000, we use heights H = 2.5m and H = 3m. Other heights are available by arrangement.
Due to their simple design, PDA pumping stations are an attractive alternative for customers seeking budget-friendly solutions that still meet the requirements of a modern pumping station for individual use.
Control options for domestic pumping stations:
Depending on customers’ needs and preferences, we offer pumps with various power ratings, power supply options, and control configurations. Our range includes dozens of types of pumps powered by 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase electricity. The pumps are switched on either by a float switch built into the pump or by external float switches connected to special controllers. We offer M121/M131 controllers or professional SPP control cabinets with comprehensive protection and extensive functionality, such as three float switches: Dry Run, Start-Stop, and Alarm. If extreme conditions occur, an audible and visual alarm is activated to alert the user to problems with the pumping station system.
Every pumping station manufactured by our company has a modular design, and if any component is damaged, it can always be replaced with a new one.
