EMS relay (Ex protective barrier) - EXI / 2
EMS PROTECTIVE MODULE for Ex explosion-proof float switches
- ATEX certificate
- Active barrier suitable for zones 0-1-2
- Power supply: 220 V AC or 24 V DC;
- Galvanic isolation between the input, output, and power supply circuit.
- Elimination of typical problems with a Zener barrier (equipotential bonding, etc.)
- Front LEDs and connection wiring
The EMS Module's operating mode can be set using six switches on the front for each channel separately (energized or de-energized current behavior, i.e. NO/NC), as well as enabling and disabling short-circuit (WB) and wire-break (SC) monitoring.
When using mechanical contacts, short-circuit and wire-break monitoring must be disabled, or the contacts must be connected to shunt resistors (II).
The Pwr LED lights up green to indicate readiness for operation. The two-color LEDs 1 and 2 light up yellow to indicate the switching status of the associated output. In the event of an input circuit fault, the two-color LED assigned to the faulty input changes to red, and input circuit monitoring is activated. As a result, the associated output transistor is blocked.

inputs
Input circuits monitored for short circuits/open circuits (switchable ON/OFF).
outputs
2 adjustable outputs (NO/NC mode) 250 V, 2.5 A — 100 VA.
applications
Galvanic isolation of unprotected contacts or logic levels from hazardous areas. Relay output toward the safe area.
