Description
GEX float switch in an explosion-proof version with ATEX (Ex) approval is designed to work with Ex pumps in water and wastewater media, including those containing diesel fuel, hydrocarbons, engine oil, machine oil, cooking oil, and others. The device housing is injection-filled with non-hygroscopic closed-cell polyurethane, which completely surrounds the control switch and prevents air from entering the interior.

Warning (safety): The controller must be connected to an intrinsically safe power supply circuit. The use of the EMS-Ex protective module EMS-Ex with ATEX certification is recommended; it is dedicated to explosion-proof floats. To prevent electrostatic charge from accumulating on the housing, the device should be used to monitor liquid levels in tankers, tanks, shafts, etc., while ensuring a low liquid flow rate.

Accessories (on request): protective barrier / EMS-Ex protective module EMS-Ex for DIN rail mounting with two independent channels. Each channel enables control of a safe-area load using LITTLE EX or a proximity sensor located in the potentially explosive atmosphere.
