Explosion-proof design with ATEX certification
The DNA-EX series is used for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes these pumps ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Pumps in this series can be used in all potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with the certificate available on request.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA-EX pumps
The DNA-EX sewage pump is the ideal solution for anyone looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA-EX sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged, causing operating difficulties for the user. The large free passage below the impeller, allowing solids from 45 to 80 mm in size to pass through, depending on the model, ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winders. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, act like wedges, and block the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage below the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN50-80 PN10 hole patterns.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or site geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher-power pump.
Control
The DNA-EX sewage pump is available in two power supply versions: single-phase and three-phase. Floats are available as separate accessories and are connected to the dedicated EMX-EX barrier (a relay in the control cabinet). To control the operation of DNA-EX pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 controllers (230 V); suitable control cabinets ensuring compliance with ATEX conditions can also be used.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA-EX pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, and network sewage pumping stations, as well as stormwater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable dewatering pumps for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The DNA-EX sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA-EX pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground with sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, DNA pumps also come standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
