Pompa głębinowa czy hydrofor. Co wybrać?

Efficient wastewater drainage in single-family homes is the foundation of a properly functioning plumbing and sewer system. In many cases, it is not possible to connect to the existing sewer network, and it is necessary to build your own water intake. In that case, the investor is required to choose pumping equipment that will perform its task and effectively drain wastewater from the household installation.

Deep-well pump – applications

A deep-well pump is a centrifugal device designed to pump water from a deep well located at a considerable depth. An important component of every pump is the impeller. It increases the angular momentum of the liquid and allows the pump to operate at considerable depths. The pump operates reliably provided that appropriate protection systems are used, most of which are installed by manufacturers. If the device is modified even slightly, electrical protection must be taken into account. Its purpose is to protect against changes in mains voltage, phase failure, and other overloads that may occur in the electrical installation.

Deep-well pumps are used to lower groundwater levels, as components of water-supply systems and irrigation installations, to pump and increase liquid pressure, and to meet people’s domestic needs. Pumps can also be used to pump treated drinking water, raw water, or seawater. It is very important that the pumped water be free of contaminants, as any impurities may cause deposits that are harmful to the pump motor. If the investor is aware that such deposits may form, regular cleaning is essential to ensure the pump operates reliably for a long time.

Pressure tank – applications

A pressure tank is suitable for both single-family homes and recreational plots where there is no connection to the water-supply network and fresh water is essential for comfortable living. A pressure tank stabilizes the pressure in the pipes, allowing you to enjoy a consistent stream of water from the tap regardless of whether it is being drawn on the upper or ground floor. Importantly, it protects the pump against premature wear. Like many devices, a deep-well pump has a defined service life, measured by the number of cycles it can perform per hour. In household installations, the pump operates frequently, but in short cycles; without a pressure tank, the pump would wear out very quickly. Water pumped by the pump flows into a pressure tank containing air. As the amount of water in the tank increases, the air pressure rises, and when it reaches a specified value, the pump switches off automatically. When the tap is opened, the air pushes water out of the tank, and when all the water has been used and the pressure drops, the pump switches on again. The cycle starts over and the pump begins operating again.
