GRIX is a grinder pump with a suction cutting system that enables grinding of solids. These pumps are used wherever liquid needs to be pumped through relatively small diameter pipes, often already installed. Applications: domestic sewage, dirty water with solid particles, wherever high pressure is required.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (motor side in the oil chamber, impeller side in contact with the liquid) and high-quality parts ensure excellent performance and reliability of the product.
Advantages of GRIX grinder pumps
The vacuum cutting system with a hardened steel knife in GRIX pumps ensures effective grinding of household sewage. The knives rotating on the disc with holes work like a meat grinder, cutting everything into small pieces, so you can pump sewage through thin pipes with a diameter of up to DN40. The adjustable gap allows you to control and precisely set cutting parameters even after repeated sharpening of the knives. The appropriate location of the knife holes makes it impossible to cut several elements at the same time, which prevents the knife from blocking and pump failure.
Pump installations with a GRIX grinder
GRIX pumps are intended for small home sewage pumping stations and for compact pumping stations often located in buildings. Pumps with a radial solids grinding system can be successfully installed on coupling feet, e.g. EASY 3.1 or EASY 3.2, in pumping stations of the type DRENO BOX or coupling feet DUTY 50.
Controlling a home pump with a grinder
To control GRIX pumps, we recommend M121 or M131 controllers (single or three-phase) or purchasing a pump with a built-in float switch control. For more demanding customers, we can offer advanced control systems, e.g. with 3, 4 or 5 floats, a hydrostatic probe or outputting alarm signals to a terminal strip to enable connection to an external monitoring installation.
Like any sewage pump DRENO has a 10-meter power cord as standard. All GRIX pumps have a side outlet - so they work with coupling feet, e.g EASY.
