The DNA series is designed for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. Its large free passage for solids makes it ideal for treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in an oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA sewage pump is an ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for domestic or small-business applications. The free passage of the DNA sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged, exposing users to operational difficulties. The large free passage beneath the impeller for contaminants measuring from 45 to 80 mm (depending on the model) ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open, six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous sewage contents exceptionally well, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in sewage, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The thick impeller walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic sewage. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring holes according to DN.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of greater power.
Control
The DNA sewage pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) controllers, as well as the M131 (400 V). For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are frequently installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and rainwater sewage pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable pumps for drainage and for handling liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, debris). The DNA sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, DNA pumps come standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
