The DNA series is used for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewer systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in an oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA sewage pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged, exposing the user to operational difficulties. The large free passage under the impeller for contaminants measuring from 45 to 80 mm (depending on the model) ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous sewage content excellently, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in sewage, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage under the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic sewage. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring holes according to DN standards.
When selecting a pump, the parameters of the available pipeline should be checked, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher power.
Control
The DNA sewage pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float switch or an external signal. For controlling DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float switch), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) and M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump lifting stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are frequently installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater wastewater lifting stations. When the appropriate hose connection is used (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable drainage pumps suitable for liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, and waste). The DNA sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet projecting from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance under the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the DNA also comes as standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
