The DNA series is designed for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. Its large free passage for solids makes it ideal for treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in an oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA sewage pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged, exposing users to operational difficulties. The large free passage below the impeller, allowing contaminants from 45 to 80 mm in size to pass through (depending on the model), ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous sewage contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades, which quickly become blunt in sewage, act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage below the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic sewage. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN-compliant holes.
When selecting a pump, check the specifications of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher-power unit.
Control
The DNA sewage pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) and M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and rainwater sewage pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they can be used as portable drainage pumps and for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). A DNA sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance under the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the DNA also comes standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
