The DNA series is designed for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA sewage pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for home or small-business applications. The free passage of the DNA sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged, causing operating difficulties for the user. The large free passage beneath the impeller, allowing solids from 45 to 80 mm in size to pass through (depending on the model), ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-vane Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents excellently, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become dull in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN-pattern holes.
When selecting a pump, the parameters of the available pipeline should be checked, as the discharge pipe diameter or terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of greater power.
Control
The DNA sewage pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) controllers, as well as the M131 (400 V). For more demanding users and two-pump lifting stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels, SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater sewage lifting stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable dewatering pumps suitable for liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, waste). The DNA sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground with sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the DNA comes standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
