The DNA series is used for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA sewage pump is an ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with shredding devices, which often become clogged, exposing users to operating difficulties. The large free passage beneath the impeller, for contaminants measuring from 45 to 80 mm depending on the model, ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content perfectly, whereas shredders act like winding mechanisms. Shredder blades that quickly become blunt in wastewater act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The thick impeller walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet having holes according to DN.
When selecting a pump, the parameters of the available pipeline should be checked, as sometimes the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry requires the use of greater power.
Control
The DNA sewage pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps, except for versions with an integrated float, we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) and M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control panels, SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection, an elbow ending in a plain end, they become portable drainage pumps for handling liquids with a high solids content, such as gravel, sand, and waste. The DNA sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch to another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, DNA pumps come standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
