The DNA series is designed for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewer systems, and the livestock industry.
Features
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The dual mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA wastewater pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA wastewater pump is the best alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged, exposing the user to operational difficulties. The large free passage under the impeller for contaminants measuring 45 to 80 mm (depending on the model) ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open, six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents excellently, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with such a large free passage under the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN-standard holes.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or site geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher-power unit.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) controllers, as well as the M131 (400 V). For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are frequently installed on coupling feet in household, municipal, network, and stormwater wastewater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), the pump becomes portable for drainage and for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and waste). A DNA-type wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing them to stand on a level surface with sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNA comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
