The DNA series is used for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA wastewater pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA wastewater pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged, exposing users to operational difficulties. The large free passage under the impeller, allowing contaminants from 45 to 80 mm in size to pass through (depending on the model), ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-vane Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding machines. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with such a large free passage under the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN-pattern holes.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or terrain geometry may sometimes require a higher power rating.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 M121 (230 V) and M131 M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels, the SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable pumps for drainage and for handling liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, and waste). A DNA wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground with sufficient clearance under the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, DNA pumps come standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
