The DNA series is designed for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA wastewater pump is the ideal solution for anyone looking for a professional product for home or small-business applications. The free passage of the DNA wastewater pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged, causing operating problems for the user. The large free passage beneath the impeller, allowing contaminants from 45 to 80 mm in size to pass through (depending on the model), ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open, six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents excellently, whereas macerators act like winding reels. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with such a large free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The thick impeller walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN-pattern holes.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher power rating.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 controllers (230 V), as well as the M131 (400 V). For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable pumps for drainage and for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and waste). A DNA wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground with sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNA is supplied as standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
