The AM-AT series is designed for pumping clean water or light wastewater. Its high hydraulic efficiency makes this series particularly suitable for pumping rainwater, surface water, groundwater, swimming pools, and waterways.
The pumps can be used in all hazardous areas in accordance with CE0477 EPT 17 ATEX 2701 X certification, Ex II 2G [Ex db IIB T4 Gb, Ex h IIB T4 Gb, 0°≤Ta≤40°, available on request.
Characteristics
The main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals ensure proper operation of the product. The version is available with a double mechanical seal in the oil chamber.
Advantages of the AM-AT series dirty-water pumps
Unlike the BIC series, AM-AT series pumps have a threaded side outlet. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, as well as the necessary equipment, such as a special cable with a cable gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The AM-AT series has only one passage size, restricted by a mesh strainer with 20x10 mm openings. The pumps work successfully with EASY E3.1 and EASY E3.2 coupling feet and discharge pipelines from DN32 upwards.
The open, two-blade impellers perform excellently even with wastewater containing large amounts of sand. The impeller's thick walls are suitable for many years of operation in raw domestic and municipal wastewater.
Control
AM-AT pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float switch or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), the pump becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids containing large amounts of solids (gravel, sand, and waste). AM-AT pumps are used for dewatering mines (especially EX areas), transferring process water at wastewater treatment plants, and in demanding industrial conditions. The pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the AM-AT comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
