Whether we have a building plot or a recreational plot, we need access to water. In the first case, it is essential for everyday use, while in the second, it helps us care for plants.

However, it often happens that we do not have direct access to a water source and decide to build a well. To make using it comfortable, a pressure booster system should be a basic part of the equipment. This is a device designed to maintain constant pressure in the water supply system. It ensures uniform pressure at every tap, regardless of the floor. In addition, it protects the pump from the negative effects of frequent switching on and off, significantly extending its service life. To ensure that it operates effectively and fully meets our expectations, it must be properly adjusted.

One of the most important components of a pressure booster system is the pressure switch. Its task is to switch the pump on and off when the appropriate pressure is reached. It is usually programmed automatically, but manual configuration is also possible, allowing the operating cycles to be adjusted to suit your needs. If we need to set a lower or higher pressure, we must locate the screws on the pressure switch, as these are what enable adjustment. The larger screw is responsible for switching on, while the smaller one controls switching off. Turning the larger screw clockwise increases the pump's cut-in pressure, while turning it counterclockwise lowers it. Adjusting the smaller screw clockwise increases the cut-out pressure, while turning it counterclockwise reduces the pressure required to switch the device off.

Therefore, if we want to achieve high water pressure, we must increase the pump's upper pressure setting. It is important, however, not to exceed the maximum pressure specified for the particular device.
