Description
ZWE 65-72 – submersible sewage pump with cutting impeller
The IPRO ZWE 65-72 submersible pump is a professional device with a cutting impeller, intended for pumping raw sewage and liquids containing solid or fibrous. The high-quality hardened-steel impeller effectively grinds contaminants at the pump inlet, allowing safe operation even with significant contamination of the pumped medium.
Who is it for
- Managers of sewage pumping stations and treatment plants – the cutting impeller enables handling sewage containing solid contaminants without the risk of pump blockage.
- Farms and livestock operations – the pump handles the drainage of domestic sewage, dirty water, and rainwater and surface water.
- Construction and service companies – the simple design and easy disassembly facilitate using the pump for excavation drainage and routine maintenance work.
- Irrigation system installers – the grinding system’s high resistance to abrasion and corrosion is suitable for extensive green-area irrigation installations.
Applications
The ZWE 65-72 submersible pump is intended for raw sewage and liquids containing solid or fibrous particles no longer than 80% of the pump outlet diameter. It is suitable for supplying raw water, draining dirty water and sewage domestic sewage systems, irrigation systems, or excavation drainage.
Due to the design of its cutting impeller, the ZWE 65-72 pump is not intended for media highly corrosive media or media containing abrasive or corrosive particles. The ZWE 65-72 submersible pump 400V performs well wherever the pumped medium contains solid contaminants requiring grinding before pumping, e.g. in sewage pumping stations, farms, or on construction sites for excavating drainage.
The pump is not a water treatment device—when using it for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate preparation.
ZWE 65-72 features – description and technical data
The motor and pump body, impeller, and oil chamber are made of ŻL200 gray cast iron, thanks to which making the construction resistant to abrasion and impacts typical of operation in heavily contaminated sewage environments. The pump shaft and fasteners are made of stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance during prolonged contact with moisture and sewage. The impeller and cutting plate are made of hardened steel, ensuring high resistance of the system of the grinder against abrasion, even in an aggressive environment.
The motor operates in insulation class F and is protected by a thermal protection device built in in the stator winding, and additionally, two independent humidity sensors—in the oil chamber and in the motor chamber, signaling any possible water ingress before a failure occurs drive. The unique structure of the cutting disc with grooves and a scraper effectively removes shredded solids, preventing them from accumulating on the impeller.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – ZWE 65-72 submersible pump
What is the ZWE 65-72 pump designed for?
The IPRO ZWE 65-72 submersible pump is designed for raw wastewater and liquids containing solid or fibrous particles no longer than 80% of the pump outlet diameter. It is suitable for wastewater pumping stations, irrigation systems, and excavation dewatering.
What is the difference between the ZWE and WE pumps?
The ZWE pump is equipped with a hardened-steel cutting impeller that breaks down solids at the pump inlet, whereas the WE pump has a closed two-channel impeller without cutting impeller. This makes the ZWE suitable for wastewater with a higher content of solids than the WE series.
Can the ZWE 65-72 pump operate continuously?
Yes, the pump is designed for permissible continuous operation when fully immersed in liquid, allowing continuous operation in pumping stations without the need for regular interruptions.
How is the pump motor protected against damage?
The motor is protected by thermal protection built into the stator winding and two independent humidity sensors—one in the oil chamber and one in the motor chamber—that signal any possible water ingress before the drive fails.
What is included with the ZWE 65-72 set?
The pump comes complete with a coupling foot, pump hook, and bracket guide rails, enabling stationary installation in a pumping station without the need to purchase additional equipment.
