WZI 850 pressure booster 50 – 230 V pressure booster set with a 50 l tank
The WZI 850 with a 50 l pressure tank is a pressure booster set for the automatic intake and pumping of raw water in households. It combines a single-stage, self-priming WZI 850 peripheral pump with a power rating of 0.85 kW, a 50 l diaphragm tank, and pressure control equipment. When a water outlet is opened, the pump starts automatically; when it is closed, the pump switches off—the system operates without manual intervention.
Who it is for
-
Owners of single-family homes with their own water intake – the WZI 850 pressure booster set maintains stable water pressure throughout the household installation, including on higher floors.
-
Owners of holiday homes and allotments – the compact system with a 50 l tank supplies water from a private well without connection to the water mains.
-
Users who value durability – the pump’s brass impeller provides resistance to abrasion and a long service life for the hydraulic system.
-
Water system installers – the built-in check valve and factory-selected equipment reduce the time required to complete and commission the installation.
Application
The IBO WZI 850 pressure booster set with a 50 l pressure tank is designed for the automatic intake and pumping of clean, technically suitable cold raw water in single-family homes, holiday homes, allotments, and smaller farms. Its suction capacity reaches up to 8 m, while its maximum head of 78 m is suitable for long installation runs and taller buildings. The set pumps water from wells, tanks, and private intakes, and also increases pressure in the system supplying the installation. The set is not a water-treatment device; when using the water for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate treatment.
The pressure switch automatically starts and disconnects the pump depending on the pressure in the installation, while the 50 l diaphragm tank stabilizes pressure and reduces the frequency of motor starts. The dedicated equipment, factory-selected for the pump, simplifies the process of completing and installing the system. The set operates on a 1~ 230 V / 50 Hz power supply.
WZI 850 pressure booster 50 features – description and technical data
The set is based on a single-stage, self-priming peripheral pump with a built-in check valve that protects the installation against water backflow and eliminates the need to install an external check valve. The pump housing is made of cast iron, the shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the impeller is made of brass, ensuring durability and resistance to abrasion. Thermal protection is built into the motor winding.
The pressure gauge is installed on the five-way discharge outlet, which forms a single connection point for the tank, installation, and control equipment, making it easier to route the system in multiple directions. The anti-vibration hose with an elbow limits the transfer of pump vibrations to the tank and pipework.
In addition to the classic pump-and-tank configuration, the WZI 850 pump itself can be connected to PC or SK series pressure booster controllers, as well as to the IVR-02 frequency converter. These controllers also protect the pump against dry running. Our range of controllers dedicated to IBO pressure booster sets is available in our pressure booster controller range.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – WZI 850 pressure booster set, pressure booster 50
What is included in the WZI 850 pressure booster 50 set?
The set includes: WZI 850 pump, 50 l diaphragm tank, anti-vibration hose with elbow, five-way discharge outlet, pressure gauge, and pressure switch. You can find the remaining dedicated equipment and tanks with other capacities in our pressure booster set range.
What are the benefits of a brass impeller in the WZI 850 pump?
The brass impeller provides high resistance to abrasion and a long service life for the hydraulic system. Combined with the built-in check valve, which protects the installation against water backflow, it creates a durable, maintenance-free system.
What tank capacity should I choose for the set?
The WZI 850 pump can be paired with tanks of various capacities, in horizontal, vertical, and stainless-steel versions. A larger tank starts the pump less frequently and provides a greater water reserve, while a smaller tank takes up less space. To select a configuration for your individual needs, contact the Dambat technical department.
Does the set operate automatically?
Yes—the pressure switch starts the pump when a water outlet is opened and switches it off when the outlet is closed. The diaphragm tank stabilizes pressure and reduces the frequency of motor starts.
Can the WZI 850 pump be connected to a pressure booster controller?
Yes—in addition to the classic configuration with a diaphragm tank, the WZI 850 pump can be paired with PC or SK series pressure booster controllers or with an IVR series frequency converter. These controllers provide additional dry-running protection. We recommend consulting our technical department to select the appropriate configuration.
Is the WZI 850 pressure booster 50 set covered by a manufacturer’s warranty?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Dambat provides warranty and post-warranty service.
Where can I buy the WZI 850 pressure booster 50 set?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. The set is available from our trade partners, plumbing wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
