WQX 250 – submersible pump
The IBO WQX submersible pump is a series of devices with an aluminium construction, designed for pumping technically clean and lightly contaminated water without abrasive particles. The power range from 250 W (WQX 250) to 1100 W (WQX 1100) makes it possible to select a model according to the head and flow rate required in a particular installation. The float switch automatically controls the pump’s operation and protects the motor from running without water.

Applications
The WQX submersible pump series is designed for pumping technically clean and lightly contaminated water without abrasive particles such as sand. The pumps are used to pump rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes and rivers, as well as to supply garden ponds. They are also suitable for draining flooded rooms, houses, garages and commercial premises. The pumps are not water-treatment devices – when using them for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate preparation.
The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C. The WQX 230 V submersible pump generates high water pressure, making it suitable for pumping to greater heights than simpler drainage pumps.
Features of the WQX series
WQX series pumps are made of aluminium – both the motor housing and the impeller – which ensures low device weight while maintaining high durability. The shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the mechanical seal operates in a SiC/graphite/NBR configuration.
The float switch automatically controls pump operation according to the water level, while also providing basic protection against dry running. Thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor from overheating.
