WQV7-16-1.5 - submersible pump for sewage with a grinder
submersible pump WQV by IBO with a cutting knife is a series of high-performance devices,
intended for pumping sewage and dirty water that does not contain any elements
grinding agents such as sand. AISI 304 stainless steel motor housing
rotational speed of 3000 rpm distinguish this series among pumps with a grinder.
The built-in float switch automatically controls the pump operation, and the overcurrent switch
mounted on the power cable, it protects the engine if the cutting knife is blocked.
For whom
-
House and plot owners – the cutting knife crushes impurities contained in the sewage, reducing the risk of clogging when draining the septic tank.
-
Installation and service companies – built-in float switch automates pump operation without additional control equipment.
-
Municipal utilities and home pumping stations – the high efficiency of the series facilitates the quick pumping of larger amounts of sewage.
-
Agricultural and breeding farms – the pump collects rain and surface water, and the cutting knife deals with organic contaminants.
Application
The WQV series of submersible pumps with a grinder is designed for pumping
sewage and dirty water that does not contain grinding elements such as sand. Pumps
they are used to pump sewage from home septic tanks and drain flooded rooms,
houses and garages, and are also used in home sewage pumping stations.
The cutting knife crushes solid impurities contained in the sewage before pumping it,
reducing the risk of clogging the hose or pipeline. The devices work in a vertical position,
at the maximum temperature of the pumped liquid up to 35°C and engine speed
3000 rpm, higher than typical submersible pumps.
Features of the WQV series
WQV series pumps are made with a motor housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel, thanks to which
it does not corrode in constant contact with sewage. The rotor housing is made of cast iron
gray, the rotor is made of steel, and the cutting knife and shaft are made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
A circuit breaker mounted directly on the power cable cuts off Power supply
engine if the cutting blade is blocked by a hard object, protecting the engine
against overload regardless of thermal protection in the winding. Switch
The float automatically controls the operation of the pump and provides basic protection against
dry work.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – submersible pump WQV with chopper
What contaminants does the WQV pump crush?
The cutting knife crushes solid and fibrous impurities contained in the sewage, reducing
risk of clogging the hose or pipeline. The pump is not intended for water with sand
or other grinding elements.
What is the purpose of the circuit breaker on the power cable?
The circuit breaker cuts off Power supply motor when the cutting knife is blocked by
hard object, protecting the motor against overload regardless of the protection
thermal built into the winding.
What is the difference between the WQV series and the CTR series?
The WQV series operates at a higher speed, 3000 rpm, and has a motor housing
AISI 304 stainless steel, while CTR uses gray cast iron in the housing
engine and runs at standard 2850 rpm.
How to choose a WQV pump model for your needs?
The choice of model depends on the required lifting height and performance - the series includes
variants from 750 W (WQV7-8-0.75) to 1500 W (WQV7-16-1.5), selected according to the scale of the installation.
