WQF 550 – submersible wastewater pump with float switch
The IBO WQF series of submersible pumps is designed for pumping wastewater and dirty water without abrasive particles such as sand. The power range from 180 W (WQF 180) to 1100 W (WQF 1100) makes it possible to select a model according to the size of a household septic tank or the extent of flooding, depending on your needs. The float switch automatically controls the pump and protects the motor from starting without water.
Who it is for
-
Home and property owners – the power range from 180 W to 1100 W makes it possible to select a model according to the size of a household septic tank or the extent of flooding in rooms.
-
Installation and service companies – the float switch automates pump operation and protects it against dry running without additional control equipment.
-
Farms and livestock holdings – the pump draws rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes, and rivers, while the higher-powered models can also handle pumping wastewater from septic tanks.
-
Wholesalers and technical stores – the wide power range within one series makes it possible to offer a model suited to installations of varying sizes.
Application
The WQF series of submersible pumps is designed for pumping wastewater and dirty water without abrasive particles such as sand. The pumps are used to pump wastewater from household septic tanks and to drain flooded rooms, houses, garages, and commercial premises.
They are also used for pumping rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes, and rivers, as well as for supplying garden ponds. The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C. The WQF 230 V submersible pump tolerates larger solid contaminants than pumps intended exclusively for clean water.
Features of the WQF series
WQF series pumps feature a motor housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the impeller housing and impeller are made of gray cast iron. The shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the mechanical seal uses a SiC/graphite/NBR arrangement.
The float switch automatically controls pump operation according to the water level, also serving as basic protection against dry running. Thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor from overheating, while the threaded discharge connection allows a hose to be connected using a hose clamp or quick coupling.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – WQF submersible pump
What type of wastewater is the WQF pump designed for?
WQF series pumps are designed for wastewater and dirty water without abrasive particles such as sand. Depending on the model, the passage under the impeller is 20 or 35 mm, allowing them to tolerate larger solid contaminants than pumps for clean water.
How does the pump protect itself against dry running?
Protection is provided by the built-in float switch, which cuts off power to the motor when the water level falls below the safe minimum. In addition, thermal protection in the winding protects the motor from overheating.
How does the WQF pump differ from the WQX series?
The WQF pump is designed for wastewater and dirty water, with an impeller housing and impeller made of gray cast iron and a passage under the impeller of up to 35 mm, depending on the model. The WQX series has an aluminum construction and is intended exclusively for clean and slightly contaminated water without abrasive particles.
How do I choose the right WQF pump model for my needs?
The choice of model depends on the required head and flow rate – the series includes variants from 180 W (WQF 180) to 1100 W (WQF 1100), selected according to the size of the septic tank or the extent of flooding. If you have any doubts, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
Where can I buy a WQF submersible pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. WQF series pumps are available from sales partners, installation wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
What warranty terms apply to the WQF pump?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
