Description
Wellhead 125 / 1" galvanized with male thread
The galvanized IBO wellhead with a male thread is a metal cover that hermetically seals the casing pipe of a deep well while routing the pump discharge pipe through a dedicated threaded connection. The discharge pipe is screwed onto the thread on the wellhead, while the power cable is routed through a separate cable gland. The seal on the casing pipe protects the well from surface water and contaminants.
Who is it for?
- Well drillers and drilling companies – tight sealing of the borehole and secure suspension of the pump from the metal eye.
- Deep-well pump installers – the threaded connection makes it easier to connect the discharge pipe to the installation.
- Owners of private wells – protection of the water intake from surface contaminants.
- Service teams – organized access to the pump and periodic inspection of the well installation.
Application
The wellhead with a male thread is used to seal the casing pipes of deep wells in which a pump suspended from a rope operates. The discharge pipe is connected to the threaded wellhead connection, while the power cable passes through the cable gland – the entire assembly remains sealed thanks to the compressed gasket. A well sealed in this way is protected from surface water, groundwater, and foreign objects.
The threaded outlet is suitable where the discharge pipe is connected to the wellhead through a fitting or connector with a female thread. The variant depends on the diameter of the casing pipe and the thread size. The wellhead with a male thread is available in versions suitable for 110 and 125 mm casing pipes.
Features of the wellhead with a male thread
The wellhead is made of metal – galvanized steel or cast iron – resistant to the conditions inside a well. The discharge outlet has a male thread to which the pipe or installation fitting is screwed. The gasket is compressed against the casing pipe, sealing the well.
The power cable supplying the pump is routed through a cable gland, ensuring a tight seal at the cable passage as well. A metal eye is provided for suspending the pump, with the support rope attached to it. The variant is selected according to the casing pipe diameter and the connection thread size.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – IBO wellhead with a male thread
What is a wellhead with a male thread used for?
A wellhead with a male thread hermetically seals the casing pipe of a deep well and routes the discharge pipe through a threaded connection. It protects the well from surface water, groundwater, and contaminants. The metal eye allows the pump to be safely suspended from a rope.
How does a wellhead with a male thread differ from a pass-through wellhead?
In the male-thread version, the discharge pipe is screwed onto the thread on the wellhead. In the pass-through version, the PE pipe passes through the body and is compressed by a gasket. The choice depends on whether the installation is connected with a thread or the PE pipe is routed as one continuous section.
Which wellhead size and thread should I choose?
Two parameters must be selected: the diameter of the well casing pipe (110 or 125 mm) and the size of the male thread (1" or 1¼"). Diameters of 110–125 mm correspond to 4" wells. The thread size should match the fitting or discharge pipe used in the installation.
How do I install a wellhead with a male thread?
The pump discharge pipe is connected to the wellhead thread, and the cable is routed through the cable gland. The pump is suspended from a rope attached to the wellhead eye, after which the wellhead is seated in the casing pipe and the gasket is compressed. Installation should be performed by a qualified installer with the power disconnected.
Can a deep-well pump be suspended from the wellhead?
Yes. The wellhead has a metal eye to which the support rope holding the pump in the casing pipe is attached. The rope bears the pump's weight, so the discharge pipe and cable are not subjected to the load.
Where can I buy an IBO wellhead?
As the manufacturer, we do not sell directly. IBO wellheads with a male thread can be purchased from our commercial partners, plumbing wholesalers, and authorized online distributors. The variant is selected according to the casing pipe diameter and thread size.
What is the warranty on an IBO wellhead?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat. For questions about selecting the appropriate variant, please contact an authorized distributor.
