The WATER-PASS 2 controller is an electronic device used to control the operation of the pump. The device controls the operation of the pump by examining changes in the water pressure level in the pipeline and water flow through the pipeline. Thanks to the user's ability to adjust the switch-on pressure, the device fully replaces traditional pressure switches.
The device also protects against dry running (pump operation without water). The built-in check valve protects the system against water returning to the pump.
WATER-PASS 2 is equipped with a 1L tank that reduces water hammer. The factory activation pressure is set to 1.5 bar.
The intelligent WATER-PASS 2 controller is designed to control the pump by turning the device on and off. Switching on depends on the drop in water pressure in the water installation below the switch-on pressure set on the machine, and the creation of flow in the pipe on which the controller is installed. In practice, the device turns on the pump when you turn on the water tap or open the sprinklers, and turns it off after about 6 seconds after turning off the tap or closing the sprinklers.
The device has a dry-running protection function (operation of the pump without water), i.e. if there is no water in the device, the controller turns off the pump, preventing its destruction. The device can operate directly connected to pumps whose motors do not consume more current than 12 A during operation. For most single-phase motors, motors with a power of up to 2.2 kW consume less current than 12 A.
The device is designed to work with clean water without mechanical impurities. The maximum water temperature should be less than 80°C.
WATER-PASS 2 is equipped with a 1 L tank and an additional tank should not be installed.
