The VTH two-pole series is designed for pumping sewage containing solids. Their high efficiency makes them suitable for use in wastewater treatment plants, industrial sewer systems, agriculture, and drainage applications.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of VTH sewage pumps?
VTH two-pole sewage pumps are professional products designed for municipal and industrial sewer systems, as well as special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, they can easily pump raw sewage containing solid and fibrous matter; small stones, gravel, and waste are also not a problem. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of the solids does not come into direct contact with the impeller, so it wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of radially expanding channels is that solid matter entering through the inlet does not become trapped in the impeller channels, but is expelled outward and travels along the pump casing wall to the throat.
Control
VTH sewage pumps with power ratings above 10 kW are exclusively three-phase models, so pump control is carried out solely via an external signal. To control VTH pump operation, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based systems. These can also provide fault notifications via SMS and remote monitoring over the internet.
Installation
The most common installation method for VTH pumps is mounting on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling elbow in raw sewage pumping stations. Less commonly used are horizontal type A coupling feet or mobile installations on a type P stand. To lower the pump along guide rails into the pumping station tank, slings in the form of a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable with suitable strength are used. They are attached to the holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring proper pump balance during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur, leading to faster wear of the hydraulic components.
Features
• Vortex impeller with free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor from water ingress if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables installation on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose using a clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with free leads,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be manufactured on request (not for continuous operation).
