The VTH two-pole series is designed for pumping wastewater containing solids. Its high efficiency makes it ideal for use in wastewater treatment plants, industrial sewage systems, agriculture, and drainage applications.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of VTH wastewater pumps?
VTH two-pole wastewater pumps are professional products designed for municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, they can easily pump raw wastewater containing solid and fibrous fractions; small stones, gravel, and waste are also not a problem. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of the solids does not come into direct contact with it, which means that the impeller wears more slowly than channel-type impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid fractions entering through the inlet do not become lodged in the impeller channels, but are expelled outward and travel along the pump casing wall to the throat.
Control
VTH wastewater pumps are models with a power rating above 10 kW and are exclusively three-phase, so pump control is carried out solely via an external signal. For controlling VTH pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based control. These can also provide fault notifications via SMS and remote monitoring over the internet.
Installation
The most common method of installing VTH pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling foot in raw wastewater pumping stations. Less commonly used are horizontal type A coupling feet or mobile installations on a type P stand. To lower the pump along guide rails into the pumping station tank, lifting gear in the form of a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength is used. These are attached to holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring that the pump remains properly balanced during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur, leading to faster wear of the hydraulic components.
Features
• Vortex impeller with free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor against flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flange outlet enables installation on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection to a flexible hose using a hose clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with free leads,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be manufactured to order (not for continuous operation).
