The VTH two-pole series is designed for pumping sewage containing solids. Its high performance makes it ideal for use in wastewater treatment plants, industrial sewage systems, agriculture, and drainage applications.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (motor side in the oil chamber, impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of VTH sewage pumps?
VTH two-pole sewage pumps are professional products designed for use in municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, they can easily pump raw sewage containing solid and fibrous materials; small stones, gravel, and waste are not a problem either. The multi-vane Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of the solids does not come into direct contact with the impeller, so it wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solids entering through the inlet do not become lodged in the impeller channels, but are expelled outward and travel along the pump housing wall toward the volute.
Control
VTH sewage pumps with a power rating above 10 kW are exclusively three-phase models, so pump control is carried out solely via an external signal. For controlling VTH pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based systems. These can also provide fault notifications via SMS and remote monitoring over the internet.
Installation
The most commonly used method of installing VTH pumps is mounting them on a DUTY or type B coupling foot in raw sewage pumping stations. Less commonly used are horizontal type A coupling feet or mobile type P installations on a stand. To lower the pump into the pumping station tank along guide rails, a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength is used. These are attached to the holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring that the pump remains properly balanced during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, ensure that the bottom of the tank beneath the pump is level; otherwise, cavitation cavitation may occur, leading to faster wear of the hydraulic components.
Features
• Vortex impeller with free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor from flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables mounting on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose using a clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with free leads,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be produced to order (not for continuous operation).
