The VTH two-pole series is designed for pumping wastewater containing solids. Its high efficiency makes it ideal for use in wastewater treatment plants, industrial sewer systems, agriculture, and drainage.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of VTH wastewater pumps?
VTH two-pole wastewater pumps are professional products for use in municipal and industrial sewer systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large clearance beneath the Vortex impeller, they can easily pump raw wastewater containing solid and fibrous particles; small stones, gravel, and debris are not a problem either. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of the solids does not come into direct contact with it, so the impeller wears more slowly than channel-type impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid particles entering through the inlet do not become trapped in the impeller channels, but are ejected outward and travel along the pump housing wall to the volute.
Control
VTH wastewater pumps with power ratings above 10kW are exclusively three-phase models; therefore, the pumps are controlled solely by an external signal. To control VTH pump operation, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based control. Options also include fault notifications via SMS and internet monitoring.
Installation
The most common method of installing VTH pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling foot in raw wastewater pumping stations. Less commonly used are horizontal type A coupling feet or mobile installations on a type P stand. To lower the pump into the pumping station tank along guide rails, slings made of stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable with suitable strength are used. They are attached to holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring proper pump balance during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, ensure that the tank bottom beneath the pump is level; otherwise, cavitation may occur, accelerating wear of the hydraulic components.
Features
• Vortex impeller with free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor from flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables mounting on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection to a flexible hose using a hose clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with free leads,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be manufactured to order (not for continuous operation).
