The four-pole VT series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. Its high capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, zootechnics, sludge transport, tanneries, and anywhere there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 wastewater pump?
The four-pole V4 wastewater pump is a professional product for use in municipal and industrial sewer systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, it can pump raw wastewater containing solid and fibrous particles without difficulty; even small stones, gravel, or rubbish do not pose a problem. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, or kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of the solids does not come into direct contact with the impeller, so it wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid particles entering through the inlet do not become trapped in the impeller channels but are discharged outward and travel along the pump housing wall to the throat.
Control
The V4 wastewater pump is available exclusively as a three-phase model with a power rating of up to 7.5 kW, so the pumps are controlled solely by an external signal. For controlling V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based systems. These can also provide fault notifications via SMS and monitoring over the internet.
Installation
The most commonly used method of installing V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling foot in raw wastewater pumping stations. Horizontal coupling feet of type A or mobile installations on a type P stand are used less frequently. To lower the pump along guide rails into the pumping station tank, a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength is used. These are attached to the holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring that the pump remains properly balanced during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur and the hydraulic components may wear more quickly.
Features
• Vortex impeller with a free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor from flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables installation on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose with a clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable with free terminals,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be manufactured to order (not for continuous operation).
