The 4-pole VT series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. Its high capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, zootechnics, sludge transport, tanneries, and anywhere there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (motor side in the oil chamber, impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 wastewater pump?
The four-pole V4 wastewater pump is a professional product for use in municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, it can easily pump raw wastewater containing solid and fibrous particles; small stones, gravel, and waste are not a problem either. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of solids does not come into direct contact with it, meaning that the impeller wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid particles entering through the inlet do not become blocked in the impeller channels but are expelled outward and travel along the pump casing wall to the volute.
Control
The V4 wastewater pump is exclusively a three-phase model with power up to 7.5 kW, so the pumps are controlled exclusively by an external signal. For controlling V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based configurations.
Installation
The most common way to install V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling foot in raw wastewater pumping stations. Horizontal coupling feet of type A or mobile installations on a type P stand are used less frequently. To lower the pump into the pumping station tank along guide rails, slings in the form of a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength are used. They are attached to the holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring proper pump balance during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur, accelerating wear of the hydraulic components.
Features
• Vortex impeller with a free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor against flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables installation on a coupling foot and easy connection of an elbow fitting to a flexible hose using a hose clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with free leads,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be manufactured to order (not for continuous operation).
