The VT four-pole series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. Its high capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, animal husbandry, sludge transport, tanneries, and wherever there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 wastewater pump?
The four-pole V4 wastewater pump is a professional product for municipal and industrial sewer systems, as well as special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, it can easily pump raw wastewater containing solid and fibrous matter; small stones, gravel, and waste also pose no problem. The multi-vane Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of the solids does not come into direct contact with it, so the impeller wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solids entering through the inlet do not become lodged in the impeller channels, but are expelled outward and travel along the pump casing wall to the volute.
Control
The V4 wastewater pump is available exclusively as a three-phase model with a power rating of up to 7.5kW, so the pumps are controlled exclusively by an external signal. For controlling V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based control.
Installation
The most common method of installing V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY or type B coupling foot in raw wastewater pumping stations. Less commonly used are horizontal coupling feet of type A or mobile installations on a type P stand. To lower the pump into the pumping station tank along the guide rails, a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength is used. These are attached to holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring proper pump balance during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur and the hydraulic components may wear out more quickly.
Features
• Vortex impeller with a free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor from water ingress if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables mounting on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection to a flexible hose using a hose clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with free leads,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged are available on request (not for continuous operation).
