The 4-pole VT series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. High capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, animal husbandry, sludge transport, tanneries, and wherever there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (motor side in the oil chamber, impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 sewage pump?
The four-pole V4 sewage pump is a professional product for use in municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, it can easily pump raw sewage containing solid and fibrous fractions; small stones, gravel, and waste are not a problem either. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of solids does not come into direct contact with the impeller, so it wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid fractions entering through the inlet do not become lodged in the impeller channels but are expelled outward and travel along the pump body wall to the throat.
Control
The V4 sewage pump is exclusively a three-phase model with a power rating of up to 7.5 kW, so pump control is performed exclusively via an external signal. For controlling V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based control. Options also include fault notifications via SMS and internet monitoring.
Installation
The most commonly used method of installing V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling elbow in raw sewage pumping stations. Horizontal coupling feet of type A or mobile installations on a type P stand are used less frequently. To lower the pump into the pumping-station tank along guide rails, stainless-steel chains or stainless-steel cables of suitable strength are used. They are attached to the holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring proper balance during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur and the hydraulic components may wear more quickly.
Features
• Vortex impeller with a free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor against flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables mounting on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose using a clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable with bare terminals,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be produced to order (not for continuous operation).
