The VOX 50 series of submersible pumps is intended for removing domestic wastewater and rainwater from homes, residential developments, communities, small businesses, and small towns. The Vortex impeller handles rags, strings, and sand contained in wastewater without exposing users to the clogging and blockage problems typical of pumps with cutting knives. The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of up to 35°C.
VOX 50 series features
VOX 50 series pumps feature a motor housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the cover and pump body are made of gray cast iron. The impeller is made of ductile iron, which is mechanically stronger and more resistant to cracking than standard gray cast iron. This is important in the event of occasional contact with hard contaminants contained in wastewater.
A double mechanical seal – in a graphite/SiC/NBR arrangement on the motor side and graphite/graphite/NBR on the impeller side – together with an additional oil seal on the shaft sleeve beneath the impeller creates a multilayer sealing system that protects the motor from water even if one of the components becomes worn. The float switch automatically controls pump operation and provides basic protection against dry running, while thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor from overheating. The universal DN50 PN10 flanged connection with a 2" thread enables installation both on a coupling foot in a permanent system and with a portable discharge hose.
