VOX 50-2,2 – submersible sewage pump
IBO's VOX 50 series submersible pumps with Vortex impellers are designed to remove domestic wastewater and rainwater from homes, residential estates, and small businesses. The 50 mm full free passage through the hydraulic system allows raw sewage containing fecal matter to be pumped directly into municipal sewage collection systems.
Who it's for
-
Homeowners and residential estates – the series is designed to remove domestic wastewater from households and small residential communities.
-
Installation and service companies – the float switch automates pump operation, while the universal DN50 PN10 flange connection facilitates installation on a coupling foot.
-
Municipal utilities and small communities – the 50 mm full free passage allows raw sewage containing fecal matter to be pumped directly into the municipal network.
-
Farms and livestock facilities – the Vortex impeller tolerates difficult contaminants such as sand and fibers, without the risk of clogging typical of pumps with cutting blades.
Application
The VOX 50 series of submersible pumps is designed to remove domestic wastewater and rainwater from homes, residential estates, communities, small businesses, and small towns. The 50 mm full free passage through the hydraulic system allows raw sewage containing fecal matter to be pumped smoothly into municipal sewage collection systems.
The Vortex impeller handles rags, strings, and sand contained in wastewater, protecting users from clogging and blockage problems typical of pumps with cutting blades. The units operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C.
Features of the VOX 50 series
VOX 50 series pumps feature a motor housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the cover and pump body are made of gray cast iron. The impeller is made of ductile iron, which is mechanically stronger and more resistant to cracking than standard gray cast iron—an important advantage in the event of occasional contact with hard contaminants in wastewater.
A dual mechanical seal – graphite/SiC/NBR on the motor side and graphite/graphite/NBR on the impeller side – together with an additional oil seal on the shaft sleeve beneath the impeller creates a multilayer sealing system that protects the motor from water even if one of the components becomes worn. The float switch automatically controls pump operation and provides basic protection against dry running, while thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor from overheating. The universal DN50 PN10 flange connection with a 2" thread allows installation both on a coupling foot in a fixed system and with a portable discharge hose.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – VOX 50 submersible pump
What contaminants can the Vortex impeller in the VOX 50 series handle?
The Vortex impeller handles fibrous contaminants and sand contained in wastewater thanks to the 50 mm full free passage, which allows these contaminants to pass through without the risk of blocking the hydraulic system.
How does the pump protect itself against dry running?
Protection is provided by a built-in float switch that cuts power to the motor when the water level drops below the safe minimum. In addition, thermal protection in the winding protects the motor from overheating.
How does the VOX 50 pump differ from pumps with cutting blades?
Pumps with cutting blades shred contaminants before pumping, which, in the case of rags and strings, can lead to frequent clogging and blade blockage. The Vortex impeller in the VOX 50 series does not require direct contact with contaminants—the liquid is pumped by the vortex generated by the impeller, allowing the 50 mm full free passage to handle fibrous contaminants and sand without the risk of blockage.
How do I choose the right VOX 50 series model for my needs?
The choice of model depends on the required head and capacity—the series includes versions from 1.1 kW to 2.2 kW, selected according to the scale of the installation. If you have any doubts, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
Where can I buy a VOX 50 submersible pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. VOX 50 series pumps are available from commercial partners, plumbing and installation wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
What warranty terms apply to the VOX 50 pump?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
