Application
The VOX 50 series of submersible pumps is designed for discharging domestic sewage and rainwater from houses, housing estates, communities, small companies and small towns. The full passage of a 50 mm diameter ball through the hydraulic system allows for uninterrupted pumping of raw sewage and faeces into municipal sewage collection systems.
The Vortex impeller handles rags, strings and sand contained in sewage without exposing users to the clogging and blocking problems typical of cutter pumps. The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum temperature of the pumped liquid up to 35°C.
Features of the VOX 50 series
VOX 50 series pumps are made with a motor housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the cover and pump body are made of gray cast iron. The impeller is made of ductile cast iron, which is more mechanically durable and resistant to cracks than standard gray cast iron, which is important in the event of occasional contact with hard contaminants contained in sewage.
A double mechanical stuffing box - graphite/SiC/NBR on the motor side and graphite/graphite/NBR on the rotor side - together with an additional seal on the shaft sleeve under the rotor creates a multi-layer sealing system that protects the motor against water even when one of the elements is worn out. The float switch automatically controls the pump and provides basic protection against dry running, and the thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor against overheating. Universal Connection DN50 PN10 flanges with a 2" thread enable installation both on a coupling foot in a permanent installation and with a portable delivery hose.

How does the pump protect itself against dry running?
Protection is provided by a built-in float switch that shuts off Power supply engine when the water level drops below a safe minimum. Additionally, thermal protection in the winding protects the motor against overheating.
What is the difference between the VOX 50 pump and pumps with cutting knives?
Pumps with cutting knives crush impurities before pumping, which in the case of rags and strings may lead to frequent clogging and blocking of the knife. The VOX 50 series Vortex impeller does not require direct contact with impurities - the liquid is pumped through a vortex generated by the impeller, thanks to which the full 50 mm passage allows fibrous impurities and sand to pass through without the risk of blocking.
