The 4-pole VT series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. Its high capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, animal husbandry, sludge transport, tanneries, and wherever there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (motor side in the oil chamber, impeller side in contact with the liquid) and high-quality components ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 wastewater pump?
The four-pole V4 wastewater pump is a professional product for use in municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, it can easily pump raw sewage containing solid and fibrous fractions; even small stones, gravel, or rubbish are not a problem. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, or kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of solids do not come into direct contact with the impeller, so it wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid fractions entering through the inlet do not become stuck in the impeller channels; instead, they are ejected outward and travel along the pump housing wall to the volute.
Control
The V4 wastewater pump is primarily a three-phase model with power ratings of up to 7.5 kW, but single-phase pumps with power ratings of up to 1.5 kW are also available. Therefore, three-phase pumps are controlled exclusively by an external signal, while single-phase pumps are controlled by an external signal or a built-in float switch. For controlling V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based systems.
Installation
The most commonly used method of installing V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling elbow in raw wastewater pumping stations. Less commonly used are horizontal type A coupling feet or mobile type P installations on a stand. To lower the pump along guide rails into the pumping station tank, lifting equipment in the form of a stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength is used. These are attached to holes in the bracket on top of the pump, ensuring proper pump balance during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur and the hydraulic components may wear more quickly.
Features
• Vortex impeller with free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor against flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables mounting on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose using a hose clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with a starter box,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be produced to order (not for continuous operation).
