The four-pole VT series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. Its high capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, zootechnics, sludge transport, tanneries, and wherever there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 wastewater pump?
The four-pole V4 wastewater pump is a professional product for applications in municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath the Vortex impeller, it can easily pump raw wastewater containing solid and fibrous particles; even small stones, gravel, and debris are not a problem. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a water vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant proportion of solids does not come into direct contact with it, so the impeller wears more slowly than channel-type impellers. The advantage of radially expanding channels is that solids entering through the inlet do not become lodged in the impeller channels; instead, they are expelled outward and travel along the pump housing wall to the volute throat.
Control
The V4 wastewater pump is primarily a three-phase model with power ratings of up to 7.5kW, but single-phase pumps with power ratings of up to 1.5kW are also available. Therefore, three-phase pumps are controlled exclusively by an external signal, while single-phase pumps are controlled either by an external signal or by a built-in control float. For controlling V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based control.
Installation
The most common method of installing V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling foot in raw wastewater pumping stations. Horizontal coupling feet of type A or mobile installations on a type P stand are used less frequently. To lower the pump into the pumping station tank along guide rails, slings made of stainless-steel chain or stainless-steel cable of suitable strength are used. These are attached to the openings in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring proper balance while lowering it. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur and the hydraulic components may wear more quickly.
Features
• Vortex impeller with free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber, protecting the motor from flooding if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enables mounting on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose with a clamp or quick coupling,
• Built-in float controlling pump operation and protecting against dry running,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10m H07RNF power cable terminated with a starter box,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures of up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be made to order (not for continuous operation).
