The 4-pole VT series is designed for pumping particularly heavy wastewater. Its high capacity and large free passages make this series suitable for use in industry, animal husbandry, sludge transport, tanneries, and anywhere there is a need to pump liquids containing large solids.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
What are the advantages of the V4 wastewater pump?
The four-pole V4 wastewater pump is a professional product for use in municipal and industrial sewage systems, as well as in special pumping stations. Thanks to the large space beneath its Vortex impeller, it can easily pump raw sewage containing solid and fibrous materials. Small stones, gravel, and waste are not a problem either. The multi-blade Vortex impeller is resistant to clogging by wipes, strings, and kitchen waste. By creating a vortex beneath and around the impeller, a significant portion of the solids does not come into direct contact with it, so the impeller wears more slowly than channel impellers. The advantage of the radially expanding channels is that solid materials entering through the inlet do not become blocked in the impeller channels; instead, they are expelled outward and travel along the pump housing wall to the volute.
Control
The V4 wastewater pump is primarily a three-phase model with power up to 7.5 kW, but single-phase pumps with power up to 1.5 kW are also available. Therefore, three-phase pumps are controlled exclusively by an external signal, while single-phase pumps are controlled by an external signal or a built-in float switch. To control V4 pumps, we recommend and offer professional power and control panels with relay-contactor or microprocessor-based control.
Installation
The most common installation method for V4 pumps is mounting them on a DUTY coupling foot or a type B coupling elbow in raw wastewater pumping stations. Horizontal coupling feet of type A or mobile installations on a type P stand are used less frequently. To lower the pump into the pumping station tank along the guide rails, stainless-steel chains or stainless-steel cables of suitable strength are used. These are attached to the holes in the handle at the top of the pump, ensuring that the pump remains properly balanced during lowering. When installing the coupling foot, remember to maintain a flat tank bottom beneath the pump; otherwise, cavitation may occur, accelerating wear of the hydraulic components.
Features
• Vortex impeller with a free passage,
• Moisture sensor in the oil chamber protecting the motor against water ingress if the mechanical seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet enabling installation on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for a flexible hose with a clamp or quick coupling,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, for connection to a suitable control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with a starter box,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
By order, special versions can be manufactured for liquid temperatures up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged (not for continuous operation).
