V 370 – submersible grinder pump
The IBO V submersible pump with a cutting knife is a series of devices designed for pumping sewage and dirty water free from abrasive elements such as sand. The AISI 304 stainless steel motor housing and the pumps’ high capacity distinguish this series from other grinder pumps. The built-in float switch automatically controls the pump’s operation, while the overcurrent circuit breaker installed on the power cable protects the motor if the cutting knife becomes blocked.
Who it is for
-
Home and property owners – the cutting knife grinds contaminants in the sewage, reducing the risk of clogging when emptying septic tanks.
-
Installation and service companies – the built-in float switch automates pump operation without additional control equipment.
-
Farms and livestock operations – the pump handles rainwater and surface water, while the cutting knife deals with organic contaminants.
-
Municipal facilities with high demand – the series’ high capacity and power range from 370 W to 2200 W make it possible to select a model suited to the scale of the installation.
Applications
The V series of submersible grinder pumps is designed for pumping sewage and dirty water free from abrasive elements such as sand. The pumps are used to pump sewage from domestic septic tanks and drain flooded rooms, houses, and garages. They are also suitable for domestic sewage pumping stations.
The cutting knife grinds solid contaminants in the sewage before it is pumped onward, reducing the risk of clogging the hose or pipeline. The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C.
Features of the V series
V series pumps feature an AISI 304 stainless steel motor housing, which does not corrode during constant contact with sewage. The impeller housing and impeller are made of gray cast iron, the cutting knife is made of gray cast iron and AISI 304 stainless steel, and the shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
The overcurrent circuit breaker mounted directly on the power cable disconnects the motor’s power supply if the cutting knife is blocked by a hard object, protecting the motor against overload independently of the thermal protection in the winding. The float switch automatically controls the pump’s operation and provides basic protection against dry running.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – V submersible grinder pump
What contaminants does the V pump grind?
The cutting knife grinds solid and fibrous contaminants in the sewage, reducing the risk of clogging the hose or pipeline. The pump is not designed for water containing sand or other abrasive elements.
What is the purpose of the overcurrent circuit breaker on the power cable?
The overcurrent circuit breaker disconnects the motor’s power supply when the cutting knife is blocked by a hard object, protecting the motor against overload independently of the thermal protection built into the winding.
How does the V series differ from the CTR series?
The V series has an AISI 304 stainless steel motor housing, while the CTR series also uses gray cast iron for the motor housing. The V series also offers higher capacity compared with CTR models of similar power.
How do I choose a V pump model for my needs?
The choice of model depends on the required head and capacity – the series includes variants from 370 W (V 370) to 2200 W (V 2200), selected according to the size of the septic tank or the scale of the installation. If you have any doubts, please contact the technical department.
Where can I buy a V submersible pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. V series pumps are available from commercial partners, installation wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
What warranty terms apply to the V pump?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
