Applications
The TYRAN series of submersible pumps with grinders is designed for pumping sewage and dirty water free of abrasive elements such as sand. The pumps are used to pump sewage from domestic septic tanks and drain flooded rooms, houses, garages and commercial premises.
The pumps are also suitable for pumping rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes and rivers, supplying garden ponds, and use in domestic sewage pumping stations and treatment plants. The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C.
TYRAN series features
TYRAN series pumps feature a motor housing and impeller housing made of grey cast iron. The impeller is made of grey cast iron, the cutting knife of grey cast iron and AISI 304 stainless steel, and the shaft of AISI 304 stainless steel.
The screw grinding system grinds solid contaminants contained in sewage before they are pumped onward. The overcurrent circuit breaker installed directly on the power cable cuts off the motor’s power if the grinding mechanism is blocked by a hard object, protecting the motor against overload independently of the thermal protection in the winding. The float switch automatically controls the pump’s operation and provides basic protection against dry running.
