TYRAN 1500F – submersible pump with grinder
The IBO TYRAN submersible pump with a screw grinder is designed
for pumping wastewater and dirty water free of abrasive particles
such as sand. The built-in float switch automatically controls the pump’s operation,
and the overcurrent circuit breaker mounted on the power cable protects the motor if
of the grinder mechanism becoming blocked.

Applications
The TYRAN series of submersible grinder pumps is designed for pumping
wastewater and dirty water free of abrasive particles such as sand.
The pumps are used for pumping wastewater from domestic septic tanks and draining flooded
rooms, houses, garages, and commercial premises.
The pumps are also used for pumping rainwater and surface water
from ponds, lakes, and rivers, supplying garden ponds, and in domestic pumping stations
and wastewater treatment plants. The devices operate in a vertical position, at a maximum
of the pumped liquid up to 35°C.
Features of the TYRAN series
TYRAN series pumps feature a motor housing and impeller housing made of gray cast iron.
The impeller is made of gray cast iron, and the cutting knife of gray cast iron and stainless steel
AISI 304, while the shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
The screw grinding system grinds solid contaminants contained in wastewater
before they are pumped through. The overcurrent circuit breaker mounted directly on the cable
installed on the power cable disconnects the motor’s power supply if the mechanism becomes blocked
the grinder by a hard object, protecting the motor against overload
independently of the thermal protection in the winding. The float switch
automatically controls the pump’s operation and provides basic protection against
dry running.
