The SWQ H 1800 is designed for pumping technically clean raw and slightly contaminated water—from ring wells, retention tanks, lakes, and rivers—wherever the medium must overcome a significant height difference or travel through a long pipeline. The impeller clearance is 2 mm, which means it tolerates only water that is practically free of suspended solids—sand and other mechanical contaminants damage the steel impeller and the Ceramic/Graphite/NBR seal.
The cooling jacket dissipates heat through the pumped medium, so the device does not need to be fully submerged during operation. The built-in float automatically stops the pump when the water level drops, protecting the motor from dry running. Thermal protection in the winding serves as an independent second line of protection during multi-hour pumping cycles.

The SWQ H series works the other way around: lower flow, but significantly higher pressure—the SWQ H 1800 reaches a lifting height of 53 m.
