The SWQ H 1500 is a 1.5 kW stainless steel submersible pump designed to pump technically clean raw water and slightly contaminated water to considerable heights. The SWQ H series is designed for applications requiring high pressure—the 38 m head allows it to supply domestic installations from ring wells, irrigate extensive crops, and handle long discharge lines where standard SWQ series models lose pressure. The pump does not treat water—if water from a private source is to be used for drinking, it must be appropriately treated and its quality monitored.

Applications
The SWQ H 1500 is intended for pumping technically clean raw water and slightly contaminated water—from ring wells, lakes, rivers, and retention reservoirs—wherever the medium must overcome large differences in elevation or travel long pipeline routes. The impeller clearance is 5 mm, allowing fine organic suspensions but ruling out operation with sand and other mineral contaminants—abrasive particles damage the SiC/Graphite/NBR seal and steel impeller.
The cooling jacket allows operation without fully submerging the motor—the device is cooled by the medium flowing through the space between the double housing walls. The built-in float automatically stops the pump when the water level drops, protecting the system against dry running. Thermal protection in the winding acts as an independent second line of protection during many-hour pumping cycles.

How does the SWQ H 1500 differ from the standard SWQ 1100?
The SWQ 1100 is a pump for quickly draining large volumes of water—235 l/min at a 14 m head. The SWQ H 1500 works the other way around: lower flow (200 l/min), but a head of up to 38 m. It is the choice wherever water must overcome a significant height or travel through a long pipeline—wells, irrigation, and supplying a domestic installation. For typical basement drainage, the SWQ 1100 will perform better.
Can the SWQ H 1500 replace a deep-well pump in a ring well?
For a ring well—yes, provided the water level is not too deep. The 38 m head allows the domestic installation to be supplied from a well several dozen meters deep, with a reserve for pipeline losses. The pump operates submerged in the well, and the cooling jacket allows it to work even when the water level is low. For deep drilled wells, a dedicated submersible pump is the more appropriate solution.
The water level in the well has dropped—will the pump burn out?
The built-in float switch automatically turns the pump off when the water level drops to the minimum. Thermal protection in the winding provides a second, independent safeguard. Both mechanisms operate in parallel, so a short-term drop in the water level should not damage the device—the pump will stop and restart once the level has been restored.
What can destroy the pump most quickly?
Dry running with the float switch blocked—the motor quickly overheats without cooling from the medium. Another hazard is heavily contaminated pumped water—sand and mineral suspensions abrade the mechanical seal and stainless-steel impeller. The third factor is pumped water temperature above 35°C, which shortens the service life of the seals.
