IBO SWQ 750 submersible pump 230 V with float switch
SWQ 750 is stainless steel submersible pump with a power of 0.75 kW, intended for pumping clean and slightly polluted water. The SWQ series is designed for draining flooded rooms, pumping surface water and feeding ponds - with full automation of operation thanks to a built-in float switch.
For whom
-
Installation companies and renovation teams – the cooling jacket allows operation at a very low water level, which allows you to pump out almost the entire volume of a flooded basement or excavation without the risk of overheating the engine.
-
House and plot owners – automatic Float starts and stops the pump on its own, without the need for supervision when emptying rainwater tanks or draining the garage.
-
Fish and agricultural farms – steel structure and continuous operation mode allow for regular pumping of surface water from ponds and breeding tanks.
-
Maintenance departments (UR) – compact dimensions of 390 × 175 × 175 mm allow installation in tight wells and settling tanks inaccessible to larger units.
Application
The SWQ 750 model is intended for pumping clean and slightly polluted water - rainwater, surface water from ponds, lakes and rivers, as well as water from flooded rooms and excavations. The permissible impeller passage is 5 mm, which means tolerance for fine organic suspensions.`
The cooling jacket surrounding the motor dissipates heat through the pumped medium, allowing the device to operate without being fully submerged - until the water level reaches the minimum height required by the jacket. A built-in float switch stops the motor automatically as the liquid level drops further, eliminating the risk of running dry. Thermal protection in the winding provides additional protection during long pumping cycles.
Features of the SWQ 750 pump
- Adaptation for pumping water with sand and sludge: NO – intended for clean and slightly polluted water; a rotor bore of 5 mm does not mean resistance to abrasive particles
- Cooling Jacket: YES – operation is possible without fully immersing the engine
- Discharge port: 1½" threaded, vertical direction
- Thermal protection: YES (built into the motor winding)
- Float switch: YES – built-in, protects against dry running
- Working mode: continuous

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – submersible pump IBO SWQ 750
How to best protect the pump against damage?
First of all, make sure that it does not run dry - if Float fails or is mechanically blocked, the engine without cooling will overheat within a few minutes. The second factor to watch out for is sand and other mineral suspensions that wear down the mechanical stuffing box. The third risk is working with water at a temperature above 35°C - exceeding this limit shortens the life of the seals.
Can the SWQ 750 be left unattended?
Yes – built-in Float automatically turns off the pump when the water level drops to minimum and restarts it when it rises. Thermal protection in the winding provides additional protection against overheating. Both mechanisms operate independently, which allows for maintenance-free operation, e.g. when emptying the rainwater tank.
How does SWQ 750 differ from SWQ H 1500 in the same series?
SWQ 750 is a model with lower power (0.75 kW) and a capacity of 220 l/min with a lifting distance of 18 m - suitable for drainage and pumping surface water. SWQ H 1500 is a high-pressure version: lifting 38 m, power 1.5 kW, efficiency 200 l/min - intended for powering home installations from wells or long delivery routes. If you need high pressure or a deep water source, the H model will be more suitable.
Can the pump handle flood water containing silt and leaves?
Fine organic silt and leaves that fit into the passage up to 5 mm will not block the impeller. However, the pump is not designed to work with sand, gravel or other mineral suspensions - such a medium destroys the mechanical seal and the stainless steel impeller, shortening the life of the device. For pumping flood water with larger solid contaminants, the SWQ PRO 1500 model with a 30 mm passage will be more suitable.
