The SWQ 2200 is a 2.2 kW steel submersible pump equipped with an open cutting system, designed for pumping sewage and dirty water containing organic fractions. Compared with the SWQ 1300, it offers a higher head (18 m) while retaining the same cutting system design—it is the choice for larger facilities, longer discharge routes, and pumping stations requiring greater pressure head.

Applications
The SWQ 2200 is designed for pumping domestic sewage, septic tank contents, and supplying household and on-site biological wastewater treatment plants. The open gray cast iron cutting system shreds soft organic fractions before they reach the impeller, eliminating the risk of pipeline clogging. The pump is not suitable for media containing sand, gravel, or other mineral suspensions, which have an abrasive effect on the Ceramic/Graphite/NBR seal and cutting system.
The built-in float automatically switches off the pump when the liquid level drops, protecting the motor from dry running. The overcurrent circuit breaker on the power cable provides protection independent of the thermal switch when the cutting system is mechanically blocked—it responds to a sudden increase in current consumption before the winding is damaged.

I need a pump for a septic tank – SWQ 1300 or SWQ 2200?
Both models have an identical cutting-system design and use the same materials. SWQ 1300 (1.3 kW, 417 l/min, 10 m head) is sufficient for a typical domestic septic tank with a short discharge route. SWQ 2200 (2.2 kW, 333 l/min, 18 m head) is the choice for larger facilities, longer pipelines, or a higher-elevation receiving point – where the SWQ 1300 loses pressure before the end of the route.
Can I connect the pump directly to the sewer system?
Yes – the 18 m head and 2" outlet allow direct connection to the discharge pipeline leading to the sewer system. Requirement: a pipeline with a minimum diameter of DN 50 and a discharge route within the head parameters, taking linear losses into account. What does the grinder actually do?
The open cutting system shreds soft organic matter before it reaches the impeller. It is not intended for hard solids or mineral materials.
Will the pump work with frequent switching on and off?
Excessively frequent start-up cycles can shorten the motor’s service life due to electrical surges. In practice, the float responds to the actual liquid level in the tank, so with a typical sewage pumping station, the number of cycles is natural and not a problem. If the tank is very small and the level changes rapidly, consider using a larger buffer tank.
