IBO SWQ 180 submersible pump 230 V (without float)
SWQ 180 is a compact stainless steel one submersible pump with a power of 0.18 kW and a weight of only 3.8 kg, intended for pumping clean water in places where small dimensions and precise operation control are important. The model does not have a built-in float - switching on and off is controlled by the user or external automation, which makes it an ideal solution for installations with its own level control system.
For whom
-
Owners of ponds and garden fountains – compact dimensions Ø 115 × 260 mm allow installation in tight tanks and decorative wells inaccessible to larger pumps.
-
Water automation installers – lack of its own float allows connection to an external level controller, pressure switch or capacitive sensor without conflicts with the built-in automation.
-
Owners of summer houses and plots – low power of 0.18 kW and weight of 3.8 kg facilitate seasonal assembly and disassembly when powering small irrigation installations from rainwater barrels and tanks.
-
Technical services – a small pump for precise emptying of process tanks, industrial aquariums and cooling systems where large units are impractical.
Application
SWQ 180 is designed to pump only clean water - rainwater from reservoirs, water from garden ponds, lakes and rivers, and to power small irrigation installations. The impeller passage is 2 mm, which means tolerance only for water that is practically free of suspensions - sand, mineral silt and other mechanical impurities quickly destroy the steel impeller and the Ceramic/Carbon/NBR seal. The pump is not suitable for dirty water, sewage or media containing solid particles.
The cooling jacket dissipates heat through the pumped medium, so the device does not require full immersion during operation. The model does not have a built-in float - it requires external level control or direct user supervision. Thermal protection in the winding protects the motor in the event of a power outage.
Features of the SWQ 180 pump

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – submersible pump IBO SWQ 180
The pump has no float - is this a problem?
It doesn't have to be. The lack of a float is a deliberate solution - the pump is intended for installations where the user himself controls when to pump, or where external automation (pressure switch, level sensor, timer) takes over the control. If you need a model with automatic float switch, the right choice is SWQ 180 z float switch pneumatic PN-1000.
Will the SWQ 180 fit in a tight well or tank?
Yes - the housing diameter is only 115 mm, which allows installation in ring wells, IBC tanks and other tight places where larger pumps simply do not fit. The weight of 3.8 kg also facilitates manual assembly without additional equipment.
What is SWQ 180 used for – how does it differ from the larger models of the SWQ series?
SWQ 180 is the smallest unit in the series - 0.18 kW, 70 l/min, lifting 5.5 m. It is not a pump for emergency drainage of large areas, but for precise work in small installations: ponds, rainwater tanks, allotment irrigation, technological systems. Where a larger model would be oversized and difficult to use.
Will the pump cope with water from the garden after rain - with leaves and silt?
The impeller passage is only 2 mm - it is almost exclusively clean water. Leaves, silt and fine sand will clog the impeller or destroy the seal. For pumping garden water with organic contaminants, it is a more appropriate choice SWQ 750 with a passage of 5 mm or SWQ PRO 1500 with larger amounts of water.
Where to buy the IBO SWQ 180 pump?
