IBO SWQ 1300 submersible pump with shredder 230 V z float switch
SWQ 1300 is steel submersible pump with a power of 1.3 kW, equipped with an open cutting system, intended for pumping sewage and dirty water containing organic fractions. The SWQ series with a shredder is designed to work in septic tanks, pumping stations and home sewage treatment plants - a two-channel impeller made of gray cast iron with a cutting set grinds organic residues before they reach the hydraulics, eliminating the risk of blocking the system.
For whom
-
Water and sewage network installers – 2" threaded connector and built-in Float allow for quick start-up of the pumping station without additional automation.
-
Owners of septic tanks and home sewage treatment plants – the shredder eliminates the need to pre-filter the contents of the tank, the pump can handle the typical contents of a septic tank without the risk of clogging.
-
Farms – capacity of 417 l/min allows you to efficiently empty large settling tanks and slurry tanks of moderate density.
-
Maintenance departments (UR) – double protection (thermal protection in the winding + overcurrent switch on the cable) protects the engine in the event of a possible blockage of the cutting system and allows operation without constant supervision.
Application
SWQ 1300 is intended for pumping domestic sewage, dirty water from septic tanks and settling tanks, and feeding home biological treatment plants. The open cutting system made of gray cast iron shreds soft organic fractions - food remains, paper, fibers - before they reach the rotor. The pump is not suitable for media containing sand, gravel or other mineral impurities that have an abrasive effect on the Ceramic/Graphite/NBR seal and the cutting system.
Built-in Float turns off the pump automatically when the liquid level drops, protecting the engine against dry running. An additional circuit breaker located on the power cable cuts off Power supply in the case of mechanical blocking of the cutting system - it is a separate, thermally independent protection line that reacts to a sudden increase in current consumption before the winding is damaged.
Features of the SWQ 1300 pump
- Adaptation for pumping water with sand and sludge: NO – intended for sewage and organic fractions; sand and mineral suspensions destroy the cutting system and seal
- Cooling Jacket: NO – immersion required during operation
- Discharge port: 2" threaded, vertical direction
- Cutting knife: YES (gray cast iron/AISI 304 stainless steel)
- Thermal protection: YES (built into the winding) + overcurrent switch on the cable
- Float switch: YES – built-in, protects against dry running
- Working mode: continuous

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – submersible pump IBO SWQ 1300 with chopper
What does a grinder actually do – is it the same as a septic tank pump?
The shredder is an open cutting system installed at the pump inlet - it shreds soft organic fractions (paper, food remains, fibers) before they reach the impeller. Thanks to this, the pump pushes the contents of the septic tank through a pipeline of smaller diameter without the risk of clogging. This is not the same as a clean water pump - SWQ 1300 is dedicated to this type of media.
How does SWQ 1300 differ from SWQ 2200 with a shredder?
Both models have the same cutting system design and the same materials. The difference is power and efficiency: SWQ 1300 (1.3 kW, 417 l/min, lifting 10 m) works well with typical septic tanks and home pumping stations. SWQ 2200 (2.2 kW, 333 l/min, lifting 18 m) is the choice where a larger pressure column is important - a longer pressure pipeline or a higher receiver.
What happens if a stone or piece of metal falls into the pump?
The gray cast iron cutting system and rotor are not suitable for hard solids - a stone or metal may damage or block the rotor. The circuit breaker on the cable will react to a sudden increase in current consumption and cut off Power supply, before the engine burns out. Once the obstruction is removed, the pump can be restarted, but it is worth checking the condition of the cutting system.
What destroys this pump the fastest?
Sand and mineral particles in the medium - wear down the cutting system and ceramic seal much faster than normal wear. The second danger is dry running with a blocked float. Third - regular pumping of media with a high fat content can lead to deposits on the cutting system and a gradual loss of efficiency.
