The SWQ 1100 is a 1.1 kW stainless steel submersible pump designed for pumping technically clean and slightly contaminated water. The SWQ series is designed for draining flooded rooms, pumping surface water, and supplying tanks – the 1100 model is the higher-powered version compared with the SWQ 750, while retaining the same housing dimensions and a cooling jacket that enables operation without full submersion.

Applications
The SWQ 1100 is designed for pumping technically clean and slightly contaminated water, including rainwater, surface water from ponds and rivers, and water from flooded rooms and excavations. The permissible impeller passage is 5 mm, which means tolerance for small organic particles in suspension. The pump is not a water-treatment device; when using it for other purposes, we recommend ensuring appropriate water preparation.
The cooling jacket dissipates heat from the motor through the pumped medium, allowing the unit to operate without being fully submerged. The built-in float switch automatically stops the motor when the liquid level drops to the minimum, eliminating the risk of dry running. The thermal protection in the winding operates independently as additional protection during many-hour pumping cycles.

I have a flooded basement—SWQ 1100 or SWQ 750, which should I choose?
If there is a lot of water in the basement and you are short on time—SWQ 1100. The higher power (1.1 kW vs 0.75 kW) means faster emptying with similar dimensions and the same 5 mm impeller passage. If the flooding is minor or the pump will operate regularly with small amounts of water, the SWQ 750 will be sufficient and also consume less electricity>
Will the SWQ 1100 pump water out of a deep excavation?
The lift height is 14 m, so an excavation up to a dozen or so meters deep is within reach. The cooling jacket allows pumping almost to the bottom without risking motor overheating—the unit does not require full submersion. For very deep excavations, it is worth accounting for losses along the hose, which reduce the actual lift height.
The water is cloudy after a flood—will the pump withstand it?
Cloudy water containing fine organic silt—yes, this is within the permissible range. Sand, gravel, and mineral particles—no, these damage the mechanical seal and stainless-steel impeller faster than normal wear would suggest. If floodwater is heavily sandy, the better choice is the SWQ PRO 1500 with a gray cast-iron impeller.
What damages this pump most quickly?
Dry running poses the greatest risk—the motor overheats very quickly without cooling from the pumped medium. Sand and mineral sediments abrading the mechanical seal are another hazard. It is also important to monitor the temperature of the pumped water—the limit is 35°C, above which seal service life decreases significantly.
