The SWIMBOX pool pump with a sand filter is a complete solution for filtration and circulation of water in a garden pool.
Features, description and technical data
SWIMBOX is a swimming pool pump with a filtration tank, designed for pre-filtering and recirculation of water in swimming pools and spas. The device sucks water from the skimmer or bottom runoff, directs it to the sand filter, and then pumps it back into the pool basin after the cleaning process. Inside the filter tank, water flows through a layer of quartz sand, which traps dirt, dust and fine organic particles, ensuring clear and fresh water.
The SWIMBOX series includes models with an engine power of 250 W (20 l tank - MINI 2502 and MAX 2503 versions) and 400 W (30 l tank - MAX 4003). The maximum lift is 7.5 m for the 250 W version and 10 m for the 400 W version, with capacities up to 130 l/min and 165 l/min, respectively. Power supply The devices are powered from the 230 V network, and the protection level of the pump housing is IPX5, which allows safe operation in outdoor conditions while maintaining the installation rules.
Pool pumps SWIMBOX works with filter tanks with a capacity of 20 l or 30 l, with an effective filtration area of 0.07 m² or 0.09 m². The 20 l tank is filled with approx. 13 kg of quartz sand or 400 g of filter balls, while the 30 l tank is filled with approx. 25 kg of sand or 800 g of filter balls, with the recommended grain size of quartz sand being 0.5–1.2 mm. Sand and filter balls are not included in the set and must be selected and added separately.
For the SWIMBOX 250 W / 20 l (MAX 2503) and SWIMBOX 250 W / 20 l (MINI 2502) models, the maximum lifting is 7.5 m, with a capacity of up to 130 l/min and a power consumption of 250 W. These versions differ mainly in dimensions: MAX 2503 - approx. 630 × 420 × 480 mm and weight 10 kg, MINI 2502 – approx. 630 × 300 × 480 mm and weight 9.8 kg. The SWIMBOX 400 W / 30 l (MAX 4003) model offers lifting up to 10 m, capacity up to 165 l/min, power 400 W, dimensions approx. 730 × 420 × 500 mm and weight 10.6 kg.
All SWIMBOX variants are equipped with 1 1/2" GW/GZ connection stubs, which facilitates the integration of the set into typical swimming pool installations. The recommended backwash pressure is in the range of 0.45–0.5 bar for 250 W models and 0.65–0.7 bar for 400 W models; after reaching these values on the pressure gauge, reverse rinsing of the filter should be carried out. The device is intended for is designed to work with swimming pool water in the temperature range of 5-40°C, while maintaining appropriate safety standards for swimming pool installations.
The operating manual emphasizes the need for installation and maintenance to be performed by qualified persons, after disconnecting the pump from the power supply. The manufacturer recommends using a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30 mA, as well as avoiding dry running and servicing the installation under pressure. The pump should be installed in a stable place, protected against flooding and in accordance with the guidelines for swimming pool facilities.
The equipment is not intended for use by untrained and unsupervised persons, and children should not perform service activities. Filter tanks work under pressure, so all work on the filtering system should be carried out in accordance with the instructions to avoid the risk of damage, leakage or sudden release of compressed air. The warranty for IBO devices, which includes the SWIMBOX line, is 24 months.
